After you have booked your appointment, the first step is to sit down and discuss the purpose of the garment and clearly define what you want to get from your suit. We will review style options and make professional, fit-for-function recommendations.
The second step is your first fitting, where we make minor adjustments to achieve an absolutely perfect fit.
The third step is collection: when your suit is ready, we contact you for pick-up. We keep all measurements on file, so your next purchase is just a call or text away.

Our standard turnaround is 4 weeks from the date of payment. We recommend you allow at least 6 weeks between booking and your event to ensure enough time for fittings, adjustments, and quality finishing. This buffer helps avoid rushed work and maintains our high craftsmanship standards.

For first-time clients, the creation process based on measurements is meticulous and must not be rushed. The standard production time is typically four weeks. Repeat orders are usually faster, as measurements and patterns have already been established.

It’s normal for a body weight to fluctuate, that’s why we leave in extra seam allowance to adjust for any alterations in the second fitting that typically accommodates for 5kg of fluctuations.
-
Orders. Your order is confirmed once you accept your quote and make payment as set out on your invoice. Every garment is made to your individual measurements and design choices.
Timeframes. Custom suits take 4–5 weeks, made-to-measure 4–6 weeks and bespoke commissions about 8 weeks from order confirmation. Alterations usually take 5–7 business days. These are estimates: we'll keep you updated if anything changes. For an event, we recommend booking at least 6 weeks ahead (8 weeks for bespoke).
Fittings. Please attend your scheduled fittings and bring the shoes you'll wear with the garment. Missed or rescheduled fittings can push out your completion date.
Fit and body changes. We leave extra seam allowance to cover normal changes of up to about 5kg. Larger changes after you've been measured may need alterations at an additional cost.
Cloth. We work with natural fibres, so small variations in shade and texture between a swatch and the finished cloth are normal.
Offers. Promotional offers, including FIRSTSUIT and our op-shop alterations discount, can't be combined unless we say otherwise.

Your rights. Our garments come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a garment has a major problem or isn't what we agreed, you're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
Fit. If something isn't right at your fitting or collection, tell us and we'll work with you to put it right.
Delays within our timeframe. Our garments take 4–8 weeks to make, depending on the service. Sometimes things outside our control, such as cloth supply, mill or courier delays, or rescheduled fittings, mean a garment isn't ready by the date you hoped for. If your garment is still completed within the 4–8 week timeframe, you're not entitled to a full refund. If you choose to cancel in that situation, we'll refund 50% of the total order amount.
How to ask for a refund. Contact us with your name, order details and the reason for your request, and we'll respond as quickly as we can.
